About sample rates
Your native sample rate is always preserved. If your project arrives in 48 kHz / 24-bit, your master will be delivered in 48 kHz,accepted by most major streaming platforms without issue.
44.1 kHz is the universal safe standard. While uncommon, some CD and DJ players have known compatibility issues with 48 kHz files,so if broad hardware support matters for your release, 44.1 kHz is the reliable choice.

What is digital clipping?
Digital clipping occurs when the level of an audio signal exceeds 0 dBFS,this is the maximum a digital system can represent. The result is harsh, distorted peaks that cannot always be undone in mastering.
There is no strict requirement, but you should keep peaks below 0 dBFS. As a best practice, leave at least a few dB of headroom above your highest peak.
Turn off any master bus processing that performs level enhancement. However, light compression or saturation on the master bus can remain if it contributes to the mix's vibe.
